Pastoral Theology: Free Video Lectures!
Earlier this year, Reformed Baptist Seminary invited Pastors Bob Selph, Tom Ascol, Gary Hendrix, and Donny Martin to lecture on various topics related to pastoral theology. These four men combined represent over 125 years of ministry experience and addressed topics like “Shepherding the Flock,” “Christ as the Pastor’s Center,” “The Pastor with the Lord’s Army,” and “The Preeminence of Grace in Pastoral Ministry.” We also invited Dr Mark Ward Jr to address the benefits and dangers of technology in a two-part series, which he entitled, “Technology Giveth, Technology Taketh Away.” The entire set of 20 lectures serve as an introduction to the nature and methodologies of pastoral ministry in the church, and they include an analysis of the pastor’s role as leader, administrator, shepherd, counselor, and trainer, as well as his relationship to his fellow-elders, deacons, and other church staff.
As an expression of our gratitude for the prayers and support of many churches, RBS would like to make these lectures available to the public free of charge. The High Definition video lectures are available on the seminary website, and may be used by pastors and churches for free to train future leaders in the church. Our goal is to make more courses available as God provides the resources.
