The Preeminence of Grace in Pastoral Ministry

The ministry Paul received from the Lord had as its prime objective “to testify to the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24). It was a “ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor 5:18). Although pastors are not apostles, they’ve been entrusted with the same basic objective. Having been called into the embassy of grace to represent the King of grace as ambassadors of grace, they’re called to serve as ministers of grace. Indeed, as heralds of the gospel, they must strive to ensure that grace has preeminence in their ministry. In the lecture below, Pastor Donny Martin discusses what a pastoral ministry that gives preeminence to grace looks like.
